We left Moab on Tuesday and stopped at a place in Lava Hot Springs, Idaho to get some sleep. Wednesday morning we left pretty early to head to the park. On the way we stopped in Jackson Hole, Wyoming to take a look around. It is a really cute little town and I was glad we got a chance to shop around and have lunch while we were there. Next stop was Grand Teton National Park. This park is directly south of Yellowstone so it was on our way. There wasn't much to the park for us....we mostly drove through and stopped at overlooks to take pictures. There was one place where we walked down to the lake and stretch our legs. There was a nice flat scenic bike path that I would definitely take another time. Finally.....Yellowstone. There are different areas to the park and we started at a place called West Thumb. There were hot springs right next to the lake. This is where we came up close with an elk. It was getting fairly late when we got the the Old Faithful Inn so we checked in and got ready for dinner. Afterward it was still bright out so we went to watch Old Faithful. The weather was nice and the sight is pretty neat (even though we saw a more impressive geyser the next day). We called it a day after that.
